Unfortunately, Muffin and the beautiful cat I brought home from the shelter 2 weeks ago could not adjust to each other, and he had to go back. The blue-grey playmate has been with us for a little over 2 weeks now. My "cat crisis" has gone on for about 4 months, for which I apologize to readers as it has posed a great distraction and time-consumption that has kept me from keeping my blog up to date on a lot of things. However, they are settling in with each other and the chaos at home is finally over.
The new blue/grey cat came from a friend of a friend. Now together for 2 weeks, they are just beginning to accept being on the kitty tree at the same time.
The new cat is at least 6-1/2 years old and comes to me with the name "Isis". It is the name of a pagan goddess, but on the other hand it is also the name of a cat character in one of the original episodes of Star Trek, which makes me feel a bit better about it. I may, in time, change her name to something else, probably something similar sounding like "Liza" or, it seems likely, "Liza Lou". But that will take time, and she will have a voice in whether that happens because she is old enough to be accustomed to her name.
While I am still behind on a lot of blogging, I hope that it will be back to normal soon.
