In his words at today's midday Angelus, the Holy Father spoke about the efforts of heads of state at the G-8 Summit to reach accords to assure humanity a better future. He spoke of what the Church has to offer. Warning of dark scenarios for the future entailed in certain technological practices contrary to life, he said that solutions to the world's current problems "must take account of all the needs of the person, who is endowed with soul and body, and must thus take the Creator, God, into consideration."
The Holy Father leaves tomorrow for his vacation in Les Combes.
