Today is Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion. This year, World Youth Day is celebrated on Palm Sunday at the diocesan level. The crowd of 40,000 people present for Mass in St. Peter's Square included a large number of youth for the occasion.
Zenit has an English translation of the Holy Father's homily and his Angelus address. In it, he spoke of the kingdom of God, which Jesus told Pilate is "not of this world". He said that the kingdom of God (1) "passes through the cross" and (2) "is universal."
Asia News has an article about the Holy Father's homily on the Kingdom of God. The Associated Press and other major news services also have articles. Papa Ratzinger Forum has photos and will have English translations later. The Vatican Press Office's Daily Bulletin offers the original Italian texts of the Pope's homily and his words at the midday Angelus.
Here are two excerpts from the homily:
"Have we understood what the kingdom is that he spoke of when he was interrogated by Pilate? . . . Only in abandoning ourselves, only in the disinterested gift of the 'I' in favor of the 'Thou,' only in the 'Yes' to the greater life, precisely the life of God, our life too becomes full and more spacious."
