A Pilgrimage to Ars

This coming Monday, August 4, is the feast day of St. Jean-Marie Vianney (also called St. John Vianney), the Curé d'Ars.  I have added some books, a holy card, 2 rosaries and a medal to the amazon.com e-store in the sidebar.  I also added one recent book from amazon.fr, not yet available in English.

Meanwhile, here are a couple of YouTube videos related to the saint.  The first shows photos from a pilgrimage to the Village of Ars.  The second is a short segment (1:48) from a French documentary with pictures from the saint's birthplace and an interview with Father Jean-Philippe Nault, Rector of the Shrine of St. Jean-Marie Vianney.  I think the birthplace is in Dardilly, north of Lyon, and Ars is a few miles further north.

The EWTN library has an article about the saint written by Dom Ernest Graf.
