Television and Radio Broadcasts of the Papal Visit to Vigevano and Pavia
The Vatican has posted a schedule of this week-end's papal visit to Vigevano and Pavia, Italy. Highlights will include a Mass in Vigevano on Saturday; a Mass, Regina Caeli and Vespers on Sunday.
The Vatican announced last fall that Pope Benedict XVI wanted to visit Pavia to pray before the relics of St. Augustine, which are at the basilica di San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro [Catholic World News]. The Sunday vespers service will take place at that basilica.
EWTN will broadcast the Mass in Pavia live at 1:30 a.m. Pacific, 4:30 a.m. Eastern, 10:30 a.m. Italy, on April 22. The 2-hour broadcast will re-air at 8:30 a.m. Pacific, 11:30 a.m. Eastern, 5:30 p.m. Italy. Here is the EWTN Schedule. To watch online, go to this page.
Vatican Television will broadcast more of the journey online, according to the CTV Schedule. The CTV schedule, those broadcasts will include the vespers and prayer at the relics of St. Augustine, beginning at 17.10 on April 22 (5:10 p.m.), which is 11:10 a.m. Eastern and 8:10 a.m. Pacific in the U.S. Watch CTV online here.
Vatican Radio has an online broadcast from April 17 about the Pope's plan to pray at the tomb of St. Augustine.
Some broadcasts from Vigevano and Pavia will be available from Vatican Radio.
